Wanna-be navigation (no. 2)
Human wanna-bes are sad to contemplate, but usually harmless. But wanna-be navigation? Not harmless. Charming icons with labels, online, often (usually?) means navigation options. On goop, though, we have six charming icons with labels underneath that are not nav labels! They don’t do anything! Wait, if you click, you do get an unwieldy chunk of text. But it’s the same chunk of text for every one of the six wanna-be nav options.
I hate wanna-be navigation, raising my expectations and then dashing them to bits. And text online? I hate reading text online. Unless it’s written by someone smart…
3rd: “By Gwyneth Paltrow”
Gwyneth Paltrow is far more attractive, successful and well-known than I will ever be. However. The Gwyneth Paltrow brand is not known for canny insights or philosophical insight. No, GP is about funny! And TV! And funny TV! So why are we getting all this relentelessly humorless and steadfastly static text about… serious stuff?
